Male in His Twenties Alleges Sexual Harassment Against a Supervisor

Plaintiff was a male in his late twenties who worked for a franchised restaurant. Although plaintiff was straight, his supervisor perceived that he was gay and constantly referred to him by defamatory, gay terms. The perpetrator denied this conduct, but, Winer, McKenna, & Burritt conducted an intensive investigation which not only turned up witnesses to support plaintiff claim, but, witnesses who testified that owners of the company witnesses and ignored the sexual harassment by the perpetrator. The law firm claimed that this failure exposed the company to punitive damages. The company produced various witnesses to support their own claim. Despite these factual inconsistencies, Winer, McKenna, & Burritt were able to achieve a good settlement on behalf of settlement.

RESULT: Settlement in favor of plaintiff $280,000.
