Winer, Burritt and Scott, LLP Announces $1,000 Scholarship Contest

Winer, Burritt and Scott, LLP announce a first-time $1,000 scholarship essay contest for 2019 academic year students. The winning essay will address the following question in 600 words or less:

There has been a shift in the corporate world and media focusing on the prevention and swift reaction to sexual harassment on the job. What rules or technical additions should businesses and other institutions adopt to protect employees?

“We at Winer, Burritt and Scott, LLP understand the time and effort required to get a degree. We want to assist in helping with the costs of books and tuition for students, ” said John  Winer, Esq. “Sometimes these costs can put a huge financial strain on students and their families. We also recognize the increase in public awareness and concern regarding sexual harassment in the workplace and are strongly supportive of positive solutions to prevent such harassment.”

 

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited U.S. college or university during the 2019 academic year.

How to apply:

Each applicant should send his or her essay as an attachment in an email to the Winer, Burritt and Scott, LLP scholarship committee at WMBScholarship@gmail.com by July 31, 2019, 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. In the body of the email, include the following:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • If you are under 18, name and phone number of your parent or guardian
  • Name of the school you are attending or planning to attend in the 2019 academic year
  • Current course of study

The winning essay will be chosen by the Winer, Burritt and Scott, LLP scholarship committee based on originality, responsiveness to the question, quality of writing and substantive content.

The scholarship committee of Winer, Burritt and Scott, LLP will announce the winner on August 15, 2019. The check will be issued directly to the winner’s college or university.
